Computer questions

1 - Is Natom compatible with all computers?

The software operates on PCs under Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP.
A version for Mac OS 10, 9.1 and 9.2 will soon be available.

2 - What is the advantage pf installing Natom on my hard drive?

The software will run faster!

3 - I travel frequently: is there a Natom PDA version?

Not yet. We are working on it though. We will be communicating on this subject in a few months…

4 - I have a graphics system. Can I use this to annotate the Natom charts?

Yes.

Software functions

1 - Can I save charts with my own annotations?

Yes. That is perfectly possible.
You can save them in a patient’s medical record or elsewhere, e.g. as a Favorite Document.
In this way, with frequent pathologies you can quickly find your charts with your annotations.
For more information.

2 - I have digital images relating to my patients. Can I integrate these into my Natom software?
Yes. The only constraint being the size of the image: 640 x 480 pixels. Any format is acceptable: GIF, JPG, PSD… The image can be annotated and saved just like a chart in the software.

Anatomical chart questions

1 - Which kind of charts can I find on Natom? Are there 2D or 3D animations showing how an organ or muscle works?

In the first version you will find charts corresponding to bones, ligaments, capsules, bursa, muscles, nerves, dermatomes, cutaneous innervations, arteries and veins and also organs.

In future version we will develop 2D and 3D animation and also complex charts combining the various parts of the human body.

Practical questions

1 - What is Natom? An anatomical atlas? An atlas of pathologies?

Neither one nor the other. Natom is a tool that accompanies doctors during consultations to explain a pathology or an operation. Another advantage: a doctor can print the information an give it to his/her patient or save the information in the patient's medical record.

2 - Who is Natom for?

The first version is mainly for use by general practitioners; we have also developed Natom Kiné for physiotherapists, osteopaths and sports doctors.
Natom Podo and Natom Infi also exist.

3 - Where can i find Natom ?

- on line at www.natomshop.com
- by returning the order form below with payment by cheque
- through one of our distributors

4 - I am a general or specialized practitioner. I would like to participate in developing Natom towards my specialty. Is it possible?

Very much so. If your profession is linked to medicine or anatomy you may join our pilot committee.
